Michelle Sulikowski earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and a M.Ed. in science education from Texas A&M University. She has been teaching at the university level, at both Texas A&M and now Vanderbilt University, for 25 years and has earned five teaching awards in the past decade alone. Michelle is well regarded for her ability to meet students where they are in their learning cycle and provide resources that help students succeed in the classroom.
James Ashenhurst earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from McGill University and completed postdoctoral work at MIT on various total synthesis projects. He has published academic papers in Science, Journal of the American Chemical Society, and Organic Letters. After 10 years in the lab, James began tutoring organic chemistry undergraduates online through Skype in 2010. Several thousand hours of tutoring later, working with hundreds of students at dozens of universities, James saw that conventional textbooks were not addressing some of students’ most common problems. James created the online organic resource known as Master Organic Chemistry, which is now the 9th most visited chemistry website in the world.
Michelle and James have combined their knowledge of organic chemistry, their understanding of how people learn and their love for helping students succeed into a unique resource that is sure to meet all of your mechanism needs in an easy to understand and concise workbook.
